Mi-a placut tratarea in cheie ironica a peretilor despartitori (policarbonatul a inlocuit geamul dublu) si ideea perisabilului reflectata pe pereti: pe alocuri tencuiala e distrusa, iar structura isi exhiba indiferent armatura. Iar pe Alina n-am regasit-o nici anul asta cu ceva...

Scaun umerash

Designer Philippe Malouin will exhibit his Hanger Chair at Still, the Design Academy Eindhoven exhibition at Spazio Rossanna Orlandi in Milan during the furniture fair this month.

Philippe Malouin despre propria creatie:

"Hanger Chair
“Occasional furniture”. Folding chairs tend to lie around the house, stacked in a corner, or in an unused room. When space is an issue, as is the case for most European city dwellers, an object such as a folding chair will clutter up the precious available space.
The Hanger Chair is a folding chair based on one of the ultimate storage systems: the modest hanger. It allows us to store clothes in an orderly fashion. Most houses or flats are equipped with a wardrobe to receive the object.
By morphing the function of the hanger with that of the folding chair, a new hybrid is born: a Hanger Chair that has a function, even when not in use, to store our clothes in an orderly fashion."

Casa de carton

A tea house made out of paper and cardboard, designed by Japanese architect Shigeru Ban, is to be auctioned in London tomorrow (pe 4 aprilie, adica). The Paper Tea House is part of an sale of Japanese art and design being held by auctioneer Phillips de Pury & Company. A "tea house", constructed of square paper tubes, is a structure designed for indoor use measuring just over 5 meters long. Housing a table and four stools, the house also features a waiting area with a bench in keeping with tea ceremony practice.

Scaun ca sa nu dai pe spate

A British teacher has designed "Max", a school chair that is physically impossible to tip backwards, in the hopes of getting pupils to sit still, prevent dangerous accidents and give teachers a quieter life.

Pai e simplu: "restoration of dialogue between filament and bulb".
