Ikea 2009

Ce mi-a atras atentia din colectia Ikea pentru anul 2009. Unele produse se gasesc deja in magazin. Altele, probabil, nu vor ajunge niciodata in Romania. Asadar:

Casa pe strada Grigore Cantilli

Alaltaieri am cautat intr-o doara situl biroului de arhitectura Serban Sturdza si l-am gasit!!! (www. a2a.ro) Mie chestia asta asta mi-a facut ziua. Ma bucur sa postez adresa sitului pe blogul asta; am sentimentul ca fac un gest de onoare. Mai mult, sunt fericit ca pot posta poze cu locuinta din strada Cantilli. O opera de arhitectura boiereasca (n-are legatura cu stilul casei pe care o gasesc nimerita pentru un patrician). Pe site locuinta e semnata de Arh. Andreea Hangiu. Am vazut casa asta minunata acum cativa ani in revista Arhitectura si m-a uluit. Am regasit constructia prezentata generos in albumul editat de Igloo, "Case din Romania".

...de pus pe gard

Designerul britanic Susan Bradley coboara designul "in strada" (a se citi "in curte") si ne tema pentru acasa de tipul "rumegati si cumparati". E vorba de wallpapers pentru exterior. cam baroce pentru gustul meu iar pretul este "out of my league": peste 200 de lire sterline. Modele nu mi se par prea inspirate, iar ca exercitiu de design (din aceasta perspectiva...) sunt o ratere...

Clasici in viata...

Mega editura Phaidon Press a publicat o monografie despre fratii Ronan si Erwan Bouroullec. Acum, sa fiu sincer, Bouroullecii sunt o pereche de designeri care continua sa ma impresioneze. Melanjul creativ al acestei perechi formidabile de tip "ergonomia anului 2300" combinat cu caldura unor solutii care de multe de te uimesc prin simplitate, e surprinzator. Mai jos aveti cateva din creatiile lor. Alegerea proiectelor imi apartine in totalitate. Asadar:

IKEA Idea With Velorbis Bikes

IKEA of Denmark is now starting a new concept at their Danish stores. They did a bit of market research and found that roughly 20% of their customers rode their bikes to the stores - even though most of then are located outside the cities in large commerical centres - some call them Big Box Districts - which are located outside the city centre.
In Copenhagen we have two IKEAs. One is about 10 km from the city centre, the other is about 20 km. I, myself, have made the former trip several times on my 3-speed, carrying all manner of cumbersome goods home to the nest. It's great to learn that so many other IKEA customers ride their bikes out there, too.
Doesn't surprise me, really, that so many Danes ride to such lengths for such purposes. But it is cool that IKEA respects the fact by launching a concept that celebrates the fact.

IKEA has invested in Velorbis bikes, at a couple of their stores, that will pull trailers so that customers can ride home with the new purchases. Inexpensive Swedish design pulled home on bespoke Danish design. I like that.
Photo: Per Wadskjaer for IKEAThe sign reads "Loan a bicycle & trailer". Simple enough message, really. I assume there will be a deposit, but loan means just that. Not rent. They'll test drive the concept and, if all goes well, they'll implement across the nation and then to other cycle friendly countries.
Whenever Wifealiciousness and I buy something too big for normal bike transport, we hire a van - IKEA collaborates with a transport company located in their stores - or take a taxi. It's always irritating to us that we can't get home on the bikes or the bus with large items.
Even though we don't have that much IKEA in our home, there are certain things we buy.This is a system we will use and we're looking forward to it.

Si a venit si devizul

Deschid mailul si ce vad: devizul pentru dulapul din hol trimis de firma de mobilier. Devizul il asteptam de saptamana trecuta. A sosit abia azi: cred ca s-au codit si ei ei. Asta trebuie sa fi fost dialogul intre ei:
"- Sa-i trimitem oferta?
-Pai la pretul asta? Ne-o crede nebuni... Poate o sa zica ca nu vorbim serios...
-Haide! Il trimitem fie ce-o fi..."

Si l-au trimis... Mindblowing. Asadar: dulap hol, mecanism de culisare pt. usi. Nu foarte mare lucru: 2271,71 euro! Scump, doamna scump! Dincolo era mai ieftin...
